Worries Over Military Aircraft Safety Prompt New Policies To Be Introduced

In a joint move by the UK and US governments, new legislation has been put in place to make military aircraft safer and more reliable. Many concerns have been raised regarding the quality and safety of current military aircraft serving in the conflicts in both Afghanistan and Iraq, which many believe has resulted in unnecessary loss of life. Both governments have carried out a full review of all the vehicles and have come up with a new set of rules to influence how they are built.Here are a number of the policies to be introduced

UK Urged To Lead the Way in Sustainable Food Farming

The Royal Society, a national scientific debate academy has suggested that it should be the UK at the forefront of environmentally friendly and sustainable farming research and development. Further more, they have argued that the government needs to give greater consideration to the support of local farmers and surrounding rural population, as recent agricultural developments have tended to neglect workers in favour of new automated and industrial systems. From new roaming seeding machines to factory glassware production for product bottling, they are not taking the local communities into consideration. (more…)

Back in the early 1990s the new Labour Government and football went together in a match made in heaven. Back then Football had just been re-invented, a brand redeemed from the violence and tragedy of the 1980s and transformed into a glittering entertainment of multi million pound TV licence deals and endless sponsorships coming in from all over the place. The American dollar has always had the upper hand against the Canadian. The economy in America has seen massive growth over the last 20 years, and although Canada hasnt been doing too badly either, they have never been able to emulate the strength of their southern cousins. However, as people going on Canada holidays may have noticed recently, with the recession in full flow, Canadian money in closing the gap and their economy looks to be more stable than in the States. Advertising Campaign for Obama Wins Cannes Awards

Barack Obama’s successful advertising campaign in the US presidential election has been given acclaim and awards at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Awards. Advertising agency Droga5 won the Titanium prize for presenting an idea that is provocative, challenges assumptions and points to a new direction for The Great Schlep campaign featuring Sarah Silverman intended to boost support for Obama amongst Jewish voters. As well as the video that saw Silverman urging young Jewish grandchildren to travel to Florida and persuade their grandparents to vote Obama, there was also an interactive website as part of the campaign.
